What Color is Success?

“What color is success?” my son asked on a sunny warm day as we walked hand in hand to the park down the street.

“Today, it’s blue.” I smiled, looking up at clear blue skies, enjoying the light breezes that ruffled my hair and reminded me that winter may not be completely over.

“I like when success is blue,” he smiled back, a toothless grin that would remind me forever of child hood, simple moments, and freedom to just be a mommy.

We walked in silence for a moment.

”Mommy, is that why in the background of money, it’s kind of blue?” He asked.

“Maybe,” I agreed. “I suppose it could be.”

“Daddy says money makes us successful.” He stopped to pick up a rock to add to the pocket collection. He had several already in his pockets.

“I think money, like memories, can be a measure of success,” I agree nodding, “but more than that, I believe that how much you are loved measures your success.”

We walked further. Silence became non-existent as the kids from the park screamed and laughed. He joined his friends and I walked around the path that circled the playground several times along with other Mom’s who came for their daily walk out. On my last round, my son took my hand about half way around and joined me, walking off the playground as I finished my walk.

“Mom, I think you must be really successful, because I love you a really lot!” His blue eyes looked up at me as he said it, and I knew the color of success truly is BLUE!

Focus on the list…

Build a marketing list.

That’s it. The secret in a nutshell is to build a marketing list.

No matter what else you do on the Internet, if you don’t have a qualified buying list to market to, you dont’ have much going on in your world. The reason? If you don’t have a list, you can’t notify your readers when you spring a new product launch. You can’t share the most significant thing in your life. You can’t tell your readers about the biggest new craze since yoyos and hoola hoops, and you can’t share the value of today.

So, what do you do with a list? You give them value. You provide purpose and reason, you give them your knowledge and understanding of what business is all about. That is YOUR business. Whether you give the information away or sell it, the purpose is to share what you know with them. Their purpose for being there is to learn more about how you can help them. They won’t leave, they want you to help them more. Those who do, lack purpose for staying. Let them go. Send them with your blessing and welcome those who stay with a gift of More knowledge about your business and how you can help them succeed.

Have you signed into my list? If you have already, let me know what I can do to help you. What do you want to know?

Jan Verhoeff - Make Money Online

Dawg gone it! That girl just keeps writing.

After a long conversation on the phone, I asked how she was doing with the money making stuff online, and she said she wasn’t sure. Sometimes, I think she needs a secretary to keep up with the details for her. I’m going to apply for the job!

So, I suggested she put up a list of ebooks she’s got available online for marketers who just want to make some bucks. Those how to things that everybody is busy buying so many of. She added a new page to her website at Jan Verhoeff with a list of all her ebooks. She calls the page Marketing. Whoo hoo! She’s got a list of ebooks on there, some of them for as little as $2.00 a piece. Go grab one, before she raises the prices!

Downsizing & Flipping

It’s getting that time, I have been looking for a better place to lay my head, and the options are looking up. I like the idea of retiring in the southlands (it’s warmer down there). But, there’s a lot to think about.

Among the issues crowding my mind these days are Real Estate Values. If I put my house on the market, I’ll be needing to shine it up, spiff up the wear and tear it’s absorbed over the years and make it look new again. Recently, I read an article at Design Home talking about Staging your Home for Market. Read the rest of this entry »

The Secret of Wealth - Goals

Writing New Year’s Resolutions takes on new meaning when the New Year is right around the corner. Everyone gets in a rush and life suddenly becomes urgent.

It’s a Values thing. Everyone recognizes the value of living life to the fullest and getting back what we put in. The See-Saw effect of life is a balancing act. You give a little, you get a little. But, what if I told you it doesn’t have to be that way?

I was a young man when my Dad passed, late thirties is very young. Herb Person, my mother’s brother came into my life that year. He took me under his wing and taught me the importance of values in life. Read the rest of this entry »

After Christmas Investments

One of the most interesting Christmas Gifts under the tree this year was an invitation to attend an Investment Conference in January. Everything is paid for,  ready to go, all I have to do is show up with my checkbook and a note pad, so I’ll know what to invest in. However, as usual, there’s a catch.

I have to be ready to invest, that day. Now, I don’t know about you, but when I invest money, I want a moment or two to think about the investment, decide how much (if any) I want to put in the hold, and figure out the value or the difference of empowered exchange. Is it a viable investment or not? If not, what do I stand to lose? Can I get my investment back, if I decide it isn’t worth my time or money? Read the rest of this entry »

Copywriter Tricks

Coffee ClatterBullet Proof Targets - Increase Reader Results with Bulleted Copy

Every copywriter knows that online expediency counts. If you can’t capture your readers attention in 8 seconds flat, not only do you get thrown off your ride, you lose a targeted visitor, and your products go unsold. It is without a doubt one of the most important concepts on the Internet “Grab your audience with EASY attention getters.”

>>> Bullet your Copy headers. It doesn’t matter how you bullet or highlight your copy headlines, so long as you do, they stay bulleted no matter where your copy goes, and everyone notices the headers. Attract attention in ways that aren’t scripted out with html or text translations.>>> Target Keyword CopyFocus your content with keywords you target as you write your copy. Search Engines crawl for keywords, because that’s how search engines work, use that to your advantage by targeting the keywords in your niche and using long tail phrases that grab attention and readers.

>>> Keep It Simple Structure

The easier your structure is to navigate the simpler it will be for your reader to find what they want. Use bullets , highlights, dashes, and circles to tell your reader what is important. They need the value, and they’ll come back later for the fluff. Give them substance.

>>> Incorporate Relevant Benefits

Be sure you tell them what’s in it for them. If they don’t see value for themselves, they’ll be out the door quicker than a rattlesnake strike at high noon on a hot August day. Give them value oriented benefits that explain clearly what they get from your product and how it helps them.

12 Days of Christmas Giving

Gift Giving - Twelve Days of Christmas

Have you ever celebrated the 12 Days of Christmas in giving?

Open up your gratitude attitude by giving more this season. Instead of just one day of giving to others, pick twelve days this season and one special person on your list who gives more than you ever dreamed and give that person something back. There are several ways to give. Combine one or all!

Anonymously - you don’t tell, and they’ll never know. You can simply give gifts secretly, either via email or via other means, sharing your best gifts and not telling anyone what you’re doing. Just smile and nod when your friend tells you about receiving something ‘again’.

Joyfully - with childish exuberance. Have you ever seen a child after they’ve found a way to give something special? They watch with glistening eyes as their gift is opened and appreciated. Open up your heart and accept the appreciation when you give a gift. Let it all sink deep inside and warm your spirit.

Spiritually - prayerfully offer up your gift. Allow God to fulfill a need with your gift, by selecting carefully, after much prayer, a gift that will be deeply appreciated and fulfill a need. This may include a meal, a helping hand, a warm coat, or more. Open up your spirit to the needs of others. Gratefully - acknowledge all the great and wonderful things your friend has accomplished this last year, especially if they were done for you. Give from your heart, an open armed heart warming gift of appreciation, and you’ll be amazed at the value of the gift.

Flamboyantly - announce it to the world that you’re giving this gift to your friend and why. Tell everyone what a wonderful person your friend is, and acknowledge their valuable input into life and community with a gift that recognizes their activities.

If you can’t imagine giving twelve wonderful gifts to one person, spread them around and find twelve wonderful people to whom you can offer something of value: your love.

Are you still trying to figure out what to give?

At http://plusfindyourdream.com/Santa you’ll find some answers. Get on Santa’s Nice List today and you’ll receive gift ideas for 12 days of giving. Be Blessed this Christmas Season!
